It isn't just a story

Words and music: Martin GK

Inspired by the musical "Yours Personally" by Kate Green and John Lawrence
"It isn't just a story. He can really know you if you let him. There's nothing he won't do for you. Trust me, Fran."

Sing along to the

Amongst all the presents on the Christmas floor
There's a story you've heard a thousand times before
You don't even listen to it any more
So what does it mean to you
Of a child that was born two thousand years ago
One who kings travelled miles just to kneel before
One who fled from a massacre when barely born
It still means nothing to you?

It isn't just a story
It isn't just a pretty tale to tell
Its something more important
There's something I must say to you
Just give me the minute I need

I know that you'll say you've heard it all before
That the stories you've read don't matter any more
That the morals the world produces say it all
There's nothing more I need
But for all of the answers that the world requires
You really think you have them all locked up inside?
Can't you see through the shallow layer the world provides
Can't you hear me when I say...
