Track list

Forgotten Dreams A love song about a memory
Without a Tomorrow Based on the book 'Children of the Night' by Dan Simmons
The Long Road Inspired by Jill's character in 'Daggerspell' by Katherine Kerr. The vocal counterpoint in verse three is her father Cullyn joining in the song.
The First Time The idea came from a line in the book 'Round the Bend' by Nevil Shute, although the song as a whole has nothing to do with the book It's a bit of a Eurovision Song Contest song!
Memories Inspired bv and dedicated to three friends from university.
The Sparrow The first of two songs inspired by the books of Mary Doria Russell. This is baed on the main character in 'The Sparrow'.
Child of Light Martin's favourite fantasy writer must be David Eddings. This song is based on Garion, the main character, who goes from scullery boy to king in the space of four books, much to his and everyone else's surprise. The series starts with 'Pawn of Prophecy'.
Traveller A fantasy story that hasn't been written yet (as far as we know!). The song tells the story.
Separate Worlds David Gemmel's historical fantasy 'Lion of Macedon' is a favourite of both of us. This is Derae's song.
Pavane for the Jana'ata Mary Doria Russell continues to mix political and social elements with science fiction in the sequel to 'The Sparrow', 'Children of God'. Andy uses a flute interlude taken from the 'Pavane' by Gabriel Faure as the basis for this song of despair.
Mindstar A song from a Rutlander based on a book written by a Rutlander, 'Mindstar Rising'. You can't fail to be inspired when you get a good science fiction book where the main character lives three miles away from you...this is a song from one of Greg Mandel's darker moments.
Death of Nations David Gemmel's 'Lion of Macedon' again, but this time from Parmenion's point of view.
